The Nehemiah Project is a Christian charity set up in 1990 by American missionaries, Wendell and Lois Smith, to help people overcome life controlling issues and go on to fulfil their potential in life. Their main programme is residential, based across several well-appointed properties in South London. They also offer a number of less intensive courses to the local community.

The project has developed to help people from all over the country change direction and find new life. The programme blends three powerful and effective concepts to bring wholeness and freedom to the participants:

  • Counselling & teaching to help people address issues from their past and embrace hope for their future.

  • Christian community to help build new relationships and experience genuine faith at a practical level.

  • Work based training to develop vocational skills, self-esteem and a new sense of achievement.
